When you learn a programming language you usually do not learn it for a very narrow and specific purpose. Or do you?Do you think that you can say that there is somenthing like Java for testers? And if there is what does that mean? What do you learn?

Hey everyone, so I have a question for all of you. Recently, I have started my first ever Meetup group and before that I already went to couple of developer meetups, but I was wondering what do usually expect on the Meetups you are attending (two standard talks + networking afterwards or just one longer presentation)? Also are there any testing Meetups you are attending/enjoying?

How to bring a valid URL as hyperlink masked with a text in a field in qTest ?

Hi Dear Community Members.We want to bring a valid URL to a custom field in qTest Defect and Requirement in a below-described manner  :For example, we have a link named - https://support-hub.tricentis.com/ and want to bring to the qTest field as below, a text as a hyperlink, and that hyperlink is pointing/allowing us to navigate to a valid URL:qTest Support URLSo in the above example, my text is qTest Support URL which is actually a hyperlink to a valid URL.We want to bring this behavior into the qTest custom field. We are writing/updating this field value using qTest REST API.Note: We are not planning to use the Rich Text/HTML field as the custom field would have only this value so Rich Text is not preferred as the best option. What is the timezone of the timestamp in the audit log?

When I export the audit log in the Administrator > Security section of qTest, the timestamp shows times that are during the night when nobody is actually working.  Does anyone know what the timezone for this timestamp is? [Originally asked and solved on Support Hub]

Cloning a Test Execution bug with defects

 When cloning a test execution, all the existing defects (bug issues) are moved to the newly cloned execution plan. This results in duplicate defects being shown in the new test execution. Worst of all, the defects can no longer be seen in the original execution. Hence, if the clone is then deleted, all recorded defects are lost for the test execution.[Originally asked and solved on Support Hub]

Adding tickets of existing requirements from JIRA using the Excel sheet shows an “IssueLinks” error message

When creating the Excel Sheet for bulk importing test cases into Tricentis in JIRA, I added the ticket# (e.g. <Project Code-Number>) into the "Requirements" column to automatically link the requirements tickets. However, when doing this, I am getting an "Issue Links" error message. How do I fix this issue? [Originally asked and solved on Support Hub]

Tricentis Test Automation (Cloud): Issues with Proxy configuration URL

Hi,in our company, all services can be accessed through proxy servers which are being accessed through a specific proxy configuration URL.I got the information from Tricentis that the proxy settings should be taken over by the "Launcher", but obviously that's not the case in our environment. When running the Launcher, it tries to download TBox, but after some time it tells me that the download has failed.When switching off the proxy, and when connecting directly to the Internet, everything works as expected - everything is being downloaded as it should.But: We want to automate web frontends which can only be accessed through our company proxy configuration URL, and when turning it back on, the Launcher throws the error mentioned above.Does anyone have the same or similar issue in your company environment?Br [Originally asked and solved on Support Hub]

What are the differences of the three options in creating Image-Based module?

According to https://documentation.tricentis.com/tosca/1600/en/content/tbox/optical_intelligence_generic.htmThere are Button, TextBox, Generic to choose when creating Image-Based module.But I cannot find some detailed introduction about their differences, so I've been choosing Generic for all.Is there some situation that I should definitely choose Button or TextBox? TClassic to TBox migration own scripts

Hello,we currently have a problem that we cannot migrate our new TBox modules, which we converted from TClassic to .Net C# TBox, to Tosca COmander. Although we have two entries in the context menu that the modules can be migrated, nothing happens. The concrete question is: How can I now replace the old TClassic modules with individual TBox modules that have been written as DDL (.Net c#)?Are there already similar cases in the community? And how did you solve the problem?

Hi,I like to execute the test cases on Dex by their timing. For example, run test case 1 on Agent 1 at 3 pm, run test case 2 on Agent 2 at 4 pm, etc.Let me know if that is possible!
